September 22 | 4:30-6pm PST | Zoom, Free
Join us for one of our most popular professional developments. Both historical and contemporary issues provide a great opportunity to engage with others in rich conversations, share important values, and disrupt bias and prejudice. In this session, educators will be provided tools and strategies for how to enter and engage in complex and sometimes controversial conversations without leading to a heated debate filled with anger.
Some previous participants reflections included that the session was “thought provoking and rejuvenating,” “it was a great learning opportunity and left me with lots of thoughts on how to support more students,” and “I learned so much … and feel that I may have sufficient tools to lead them in the future.”
This session is free and open to educators of all grade levels.
