Both historical and contemporary issues provide a great opportunity to engage with others in rich conversations, share important values, and disrupt bias and prejudice. In this session, educators will be provided tangible tools and strategies for how to enter and engage in complex and sometimes controversial conversations without them leading to heated debates filled with anger and resentment.
This program is an introduction to a series of workshops. Subsequent sessions will each focus on a specific topic where educators will learn how to prepare, approach, and facilitate complex discussions with middle and high school students.
After RSVPing, you will receive an email 24 hours prior to the event with a zoom link. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this event, please contact education@ojmche.org.
